About Maisha

Thirty years as an entrepreneur, more than 15 years on stage, over 10,000 people have heard her voice. Maisha Beard is The Clarity Coach.

Her work lives at the intersection of clarity in communication and community impact. She is a Transformational Speaker, Communication Strategist, and founder of The Clarity Shift™. She also serves as Coordinator of Business Asset Development and Kiva Capital Access Manager for the City of Rochester, where she helps entrepreneurs grow and scale their businesses every single day.

The world changes when powerful women speak with clarity, precision, and purpose. Maisha makes sure they do, because there was a time she could not speak up for herself or advocate for herself. Confidence was something she had to grow into. Her journey from silence to the stage is one she helps others rewrite every time she speaks.

Her leadership is rooted in a lived legacy: a father who overcame addiction and earned his PhD, and a mother who poured herself into caring for others until her final breath in 2023. In that sacred hour, grief deepened into purpose, and the lessons Maisha had witnessed her entire life began living through her decisions. She completed her Master’s Degree in English and Creative Writing, understanding that her grief and her brilliance could co-exist.

She speaks directly to women leaders, entrepreneurs, and executives who leave with more than inspiration; they leave with language, strategy, and the clarity to move forward with confidence.
